PowerSchool
is the leading information system by Pearson which helps our school access and maintain student, staff, and schedule information. PowerSchool is a database application that runs on a server, which is the center of
our student information system. PowerSchool uses the Internet to facilitate student information management and communication among school administrators, teachers, parents, and students.
PowerSchool Parent Portal is a tool that is integrated into the PowerSchool Student Information System (SIS) that is specifically developed for parents and students.
PowerSchool Parent Portal gives parents and students access to real-time information including attendance, grades and detailed assignment descriptions, school bulletins, lunch menus and even personal messages from the teacher. Everyone stays connected: Students stay on top of assignments, parents are able to participate more fully in their student's progress, and teachers can use their gradebook to make decisions on what information they want to share with parents and students.

Parents As
Teachers
Parents as Teachers is a program for any parent in the district with a
child from birth to age five. Developmental information, home visits,
group meetings, and screenings are components of this program. Our Parents as Teachers program currently includes
approximately 270 families (with children from birth
to 3 years of age). Educators are Jill
Gibson, Danielle
Costner, and Jenny
Snyder. An
appointment for a PAT visit may be made by contacting the PAT office at
660-646-4840.
Mr. Pumpkin Head

The Parents as Teachers Fall Fun Fest was held Tuesday, October 21,
2008, at the Jenkins Expo
Center at the Livingston County Fairgrounds. Youngsters enjoyed Halloween inspired games such
as a bean bag toss, play-dough creations and a Mr. Pumpkin Head, where kids could literally
rearrange the face of their pumpkins using Mr. Potato Head pieces.

The Grand River Area Family YMCA's Welch Gymnasium was a busy place
January 11, 2008, as
toddlers and their parents converged for a Parents As Teachers playgroup field trip. The children
were invited to play at different stations in the gymnasium as well as take advantage of the
YMCA's Play Park. Refreshments were also offered to those attending.

Parents as Teachers hosted a “Last Blast of Summer” for children
and their parents on the Garrison
